In a world where body positivity is taking the world by storm, men are still vastly underrepresented when it comes to self-love. When Mr. Z contacted me saying his wife had mentioned me to him on several occasions, I was over the moon to get them in front of my camera.
My favorite part about doing couples boudoir sessions is that I get to not only see the intimacy and trust they have for each other, but also the ways they tease and play with each other. Couples sessions also happen to be the more candid type of photos I do, since many times I’m giving instructions on how to interact and taking a step back, rather than being more hands-on with posing.
I loved having the chance to empower them both together, as well as separately. Typically with couples sessions I also take time to do individual shots, but when I was unexpectedly assaulted by my own video light, I definitely did not do that essential part of the session.
I’m gonna be real, even the most seasoned professionals make mistakes or forget things! Mr. & Miss Z were more than happy to come to my in-home studio for a second shooting day where we finished the session using a black backdrop and focusing on creating drama with the lights.
They also requested extra black and white copies, which I happily complied! With them upgrading to include their full digital gallery, you’ll see a LOT of photos. I can’t just choose my favorite, what can I say! I simply won’t apologize for it. Every time our clients decide to purchase their full digital gallery my heart sings, because I love being able to see my clients get everything they want and more!

“I wanted to surprise my wife with a fun experience that not everyone has done. She had talked about doing something like this for years but had never really done it. Our anniversary from when we first started dating 11 years ago was coming up so i thought it would be a good time to do something special. It was something scary and exciting all at once.
The whole experience was something so special- I can’t pick out just one thing that was my favorite. The reveal of our pictures was AMAZING THEY TURNED OUT FANTASTIC! They amazed us and had us wanting to come back and do more. We recommended some friends to give it a shot as well.
If we had any concerns on anything or questions Lexy answered them and put our minds at ease. She makes it very easy for everyone to enjoy their shoot and have a great time.”
