Happy Holidays from Boudoir by Lexy!

2020 was a crazy year that none of us could have prepared ourselves for. With so many businesses that suffered, we chose a risky year to make this one full-time. Even with all of the rescheduled sessions due to COVID, I wouldn’t change anything. Between “quitting my day job” and being able to make my own schedule and homeschool our boys, this was truly the best year yet for us.

While this obviously isn’t a complete blog of all our 2020 sessions, all the clients below were gracious enough to let us share their sessions and I’m sooo excited to show off our favorites from the year!

I’m so thankful for how our work as introduced us to some of the most amazing and unique individuals, especially the Group Shoot we did this summer!

Seeing so many amazing humans come together to create pure magic was simply one of my favorite moments from 2020, hands down.

We went full-time with some big ass goals- getting Kasie a new camera for videography as well as a new computer with video editing in mind. We’re constantly growing and evolving, and super stoked to add videography to our sessions for 2021!

I’ve always struggled with posting to social media. A lil’ anxiety, a lil’ fear of judgement (yes, even I let it get to my head sometimes!), plus add in always working multiple jobs has made it hard to be consistent with my online presence.

While I do try to be mindful of the time I spend, I am thankful for so many of the friendships I’ve made since committing to posting and interacting! This goes for my Facebook Group of course, but I’ve also been much more active on Instagram as well!

This past year we also started a TikTok and ended the year with 10,000 followers! I’ve made so many new friends on there, as well as new clients! Thank you to those that have hyped me up in my videos, it can be nerve wrecking to be vulnerable on such a big platform and the endless support has me in my feels constantly <3

This year has had so many amazing moments, but also some not-so-amazing moments. With most social media, you see the highlight reel. The same goes here, but I’m not going to pretend that everything has been perfect!

Working from home 24/7 has been a HUGE adjustment, and routines are a big struggle for me. I’m trying to hit the ground running this year, but I also know on my not-so-great days I’m allowed to let myself and my soul rest.

Now here’s my favorite part…

A Big Fucking Thank You.

Thank you Kasie, for being my hype man both in life and in our business. For so long I did this alone, and I never knew how lonely and how heavy the weight of running a business was until you came along and dove right in.

I can’t wait to watch you learn and grow and see where 2021 will take you- and us. Thank you for being someone who will support me and protect me.

We only do what we do because of people like you who believe in our art and vision. We literally couldn’t do this without y’all. These past few years there’s so many people who I can name who have been our biggest cheerleaders, but this blog would take so long. You know who you are, and I hope you know what an impact your support means to a small business like us.

An extra big thank you to the admins that help run our online community. I wouldn’t be able to stay sane if it weren’t for y’all helping out, keeping the peace and empowering others. You are amazing.
